durban, south africa: reflection

When you think of how many paths you could've taken in life and where those paths led you that you wouldn't have gone otherwise, it is truly blows my mind.

I am so grateful that during my five years at Unilever I was able to meet and work with amazing people from all over the world. While backpacking, I feel so lucky to know people where I visit and am so happy I get to see my friends again.

There is a Unilever office in Durban and I have a couple of friends from the US that did rotations here and a couple of friends from South Africa working here.

I've had the best week ever seeing them, having them showing me around and meeting their friends. (Thank you Storm, Mnotho, Chloe, Matt, Azvir, Taahira!) There are no words to express my gratitude and I feel at home. I truly believe stars aligned and serendipity followed to lead me to Durban.

Sometimes with my anxiety I overthink things but moments like this make me realize sometimes without even question, we just end up where we were meant to be even if it was so beautifully unexpected.

On an episode of "How I Met Your Mother" the other day was a quote something like you can't design your life like an architect, you just have to live it and it will design itself. I loved this! Going to take this and the relaxed and chill Durban vibe with me and remember to trust in the way things always have a way of working themselves out.
