budapest, hungary: impact hub
Impact Hub Budapest is turning one year old today! The hub is in an incredible, majestic old building filled with high ceilings, big windows, crown molding and great views. The space was clearly crafted with every detail making it a very inviting and desirable place to work.
Upon my arrival, some of the co-founders walked me around explaining the space's offerings and their history. It was so nice to get to know them and gracious of them to take the time to give me a tour! Impact Hub Budapest offers babysitting on certain days of the week so that parent's can work nearby, a coding program for young girls, upcycling via donated jeans and countless events and collaboration opportunities.
I spent a few hours working out of the space and felt so inspired. It is incredible the energy felt from being surrounded by people determined to make the world a better place! The team even gave me a bunch of brochures to learn more about sustainable initiatives (food, education, etc) in Budapest. This combined with their perspective was so interesting. The rise of social impact in Budapest has only just started to boom in the recent years so it is exciting to see what new things are in the works.
